i have a acer 5738z, so i have a touch pad off button near the touch pad, every time i turn it off and on the touch pad stops working, ive tried reinstalling the driver for this and no luck, i have to restart my laptop for it to work

You should not have any reason for turning it off except if you have a mouse connected. If you have a mouse connected and you turn the touchpad off, the mouse is now your primary device until the next restart. Technically you are suppose to use one or the other not both at the same time.
