Open Question

PV-200A/250x HI I have never used your service before. My PV died on me a few years ago and I want to revive it if possible. At the time I tried resetting it, replacing batteries and downloading the memory via the computer etc.. Soooo, now what? Is there anything I can do to revive my PV or at least capture the memory files from it? Thanks for your help JC

SOURCE: Microsoft Outlook data won't synch

In ActiveSybch there is an option of setting the priority of either the PC, the PDA or leaving the items unresolved. You can either change this of follow another route. With the device off the cradle delete the partnership WITHOUT deleting the partnership folder. Place the device on the cradle & let AS find the device & setup the partnership. Once setup remove the device & go to options & set all the required options. Replace the device & it should synchronise. If you still have problems please contact me directly through email.

Got new Palm TX out of box (although it is actually a few years old, but was never opened). charged for 3 hrs, but as soon as I unplug power cord, it goes dead. Battery appears not to work. found another...

The batteries have a shelf life. So they can die just from sitting and not being used.

What you can try is charge it and discharge it a 'few' times (few can mean 20-30 or more or less) it can revive the battery.

Replacement battery's are cheap $15 and up. So if you got these free it is worth putting one in.

Haven't used my m505 for several years. It won't charge/start. Can it be revived, perhaps w/ new internal battery?

If it won't take the charge it is definitly the battery. You can try to cycle it a few times by charging and discharging it a few tmes and it might revive. If not time to replace. Batteries can be $14 and up so google and look around for the best deal.

Phone does not boot-up

i hope this is not true in your case. But I have had 4-5 customers a few years ago who this has happened to. Even us had a hard time flashing the phones fully to bring it back. My customers tried putting games and themes on the phone as well. You need to flash the phone. No easy solution. Sorry..

Start up problems

I had the same problem few years ago with my 3950

I kept it on the charger and it just kept doing that, and finaly died totaly.

I send it to repairs and found out it was a motherboard / chipset problem and the motherboard would need to be replaced.

Acer N50 sometimes it doesnot turn on

Hey, I had a similiar problem with my pda few years ago. It didnt turn on, or then the startup info screen came up and the pda just froze or shutdown. I had to hardreset also to get it runing. After a few weeks of this the pda died. It's possible that your pda is about to reach its end. There could be other problems. One thing you could try to do is reinstalling the operateing system if you have such. You can also buy newer operating system upgrades but might not be available for your product and it might not fix the problem if it is a hardware issue. Good luck.

Casio Pocket Viewer PV-S400Plus not working

When batteries are to be replace you must move the switch on the back cover to "replace batteries". After you replace the batteries, you must move the switch back to "normal operation". The unit will then want you to touch the dots in the cross hairs and then ask you to adjust contrast. Try replacing the batteries again with a fresh pair. If this does not work, open the cover with the switch in the "replace batteries" position and use your stylus to press the "P" button underneath the battery cover and try again. If this fails, try resetting the unit.
