If your mobile is dead or if you feel so, then take it to Nokia Care and let them declare it dead. Also if they too declare it dead then you must donate it to Nokia by dropping it in the DONATE YOUR MOBILE box. Its working parts can be used elsewhere and the non working can be melted to extract whatever they can. From environment point of view it is better than you throwing it away and it dangering the environment.
If it's totally dead then all you can try is to change the battery for another freshly charged one and to check that the charger is working.
If that doesn't work then there's nothing more which can be done in the way of remote diagnosis: the phone has to power up in order for any symptoms to be described to the FixYa community. A totally dead mobile can be the result of so many causes it's not even worth making guesses.
A totally dead phone offers you just two choices: replace it or take it to a technician who can use specialist tools to perform diagnostic checks in order to determine whether the phone is repairable or not. Given that a brand new Nokia 1209 can be purchased SIM free for under £25 it's not worth doing anything other than binning it and buying a replacement unless it's still under warranty; a spare battery can cost more than £25.
