Connection to Bose V30 System

Hi I have the following equipment connected to my new Bose V30 Surround system. Sony Bravia TV KDL40Z4500 Sony Blu-ray DVD BDP-S350 Humax Foxsat-HDR Satellite HD Digital Recorder
The problem I have is in the control of the equipment via the Bose remote control. I use the Humax box for tv reception and seem to be unable to control the sound on the Humax from the Bose remote. and I am also not able to play the TV through the Bose System. The Blu-ray bit seems to be fine. I am using an HDMI connection Number3 between Bose media centre and tv. HDMI connection Number 2 between Bose media centre and DVD. HDMI connection Number 1 between Bose media centre and Humax. I am also connecting an optical cable between the DVD and Bose and Humax and Bose. I have also put phone connections between the tv audio input and the Bose media audio output. I don't know what else I can do. I would be grateful for any help you could give me or should I buy another remote such as the Logitech Harmony One. But even then I believe there are some problems making that work as it is RF rather than radio transmission.
