Question about Samsung HLP4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV

Horizontal lines to nothing to blinking lights...

Hey, Thanks a lot for the help! Model HLP4663W: This is kinda of a long story but here's the issue. The set would be fine for about 45 minutes then it would start getting a lot of horizontal lines and colors across the screen. sometimes turning it off and back on would correct it for the rest of the day. But sometimes not. Also, when it was acting up, when I would turn to a different channel, there seemed like remnants of the previous channel still displaying. Not being a HDTV technician I assumed since the bulb was original it may need replacing. I ordered a new bulb from Samsung. As they are very simple to replace. Anyway, I replaced the bulb, then it wouldn't fire at all. I would get three blinking lights on the front power button, I took out the replacement bulb and returned it an put the original back in. Now the original wouldn't fire, and I get the three blinking lights on front for about 2 minutes, then it turns off. Thanks for the help! I really need it.

Turning off

Three blinking lights indicates a lamp problem.  This can be from A) a bad lamp, B) bad ballast C) bad Light Engine/DMD Board.  Try replacing the bulb first.  As with any lamps, it has a limited life.  If that doesn't work, you can try the ballast next.  If that doesn't work, it's time to take it in to a certified repair center for diagnostics.  Here is a page from the service manual on the three blinking lights.

Convergence ICs

the green is half controlled by half of each of the convergence Ics meaning green horizontal is controled along with the red and green vertcal is controlled along with the blue Ics. So if you have replaced both Convergencs ICs the problem is most likely a resistor that is in the green circuit. You will need a schematic to locate which resistors are in the green vertical and horizontal convergence circuit

Mitsubishi VS 5001r 1989 won't turn on.

Check the horizontal output and the low voltage regulators . Also push the input and menu buttons on the set in together hold for 5 seconds and see if the light blinks out a code. If it does let me know what the code is.

Model 55X70 Toshiba Projection tv

dont know about warranties but horizontal lines means your horizontal frequency which runs about everything has drifted off sync and if too high or low it will activate shut down circuits in high voltage and power suppy, even causing HOT transistor to short. good luck and call a tech.
