My washer keeps on stopping in the middle of the spin cycle

When it gets to the spin cycle it cuts off and begins to make a hum noise and no spin. I have opened the front panel and turned the white knob and emptied out all the water and any other items but it still is not running through a complete load or spinning. Please help my clothes are starting to mold.

Take the lower front cover off, 3 screws on bottom.
Put bucket under right side, large round piece.
Unscrew large white round piece, dump change and lint out and put back together. I did it today.

You will need to get some help to put the machine near your back door so that you can put the gray hose out side the door when all water is gone your door should open if not then you need to take your pump out and clean it out and then take the filter out it might have a sock or some thing clean it out and buy the time you have put it all back the door should of opened take any thing out of the drum put the machine back and put it on a program so some water can get in the machine then or put it on a rise and spin that will be a good program to put it on if the machine finnish then its all done.

My frigidaire LTF6700FSO will not spin

Your symptom sounds like a jammed drain pump. Was it spinning and then stopped before the spin cycle should have ended or did it not begin spinning when it should have?

Our whirlpool top loading washer starts making a high pitched whirring noise in the beginning of the first spin cycle. Once it gets going full speed the noise stops. What could be?

If you can hear the motor humming during the spin cycle, it could signal a defective motor drive. It's possible for the motor to fail in just one direction, which may be why you only hear it some times.

This kind of issue often requires the help of a professional. To learn more about this issue, read Washing machine will not spin but will pump and agitate. I hope this helps.

hi there,

the humming is the motor trying to turn, which means it works. since you did not mention any error messages, it could just be a belt that slipped off the pulley. have you taken it apart yet?

it definitely worth fixing.

Washer keeps stopping during any cycle

the humming noise could be from two sources and it is worth while doing a few simple checks first the drain pump is jammed with a foreign object. check nothing caught in the impellor second water not available - check taps turned on. also turn water off, undo fill hoses, put in a bucket and turn water back on try on drain or spin programs to check water drainage as well

Rinse cycle doesnt work

the humming noise is probably the cold valve operating but no water. check tap not turned off. slowly loosen cold water feed and check if water present
