Question about Microsoft Xbox® 360 Core System Console

Won't read disc upon entry

I was playing Guitar Hero III this morning and came back a couple hours later and tried to reboot/turn off and on and it appears my Xbox 360 won't read any game I have. I have tried 7 different games. It just stays on the Xbox console or dashboard (not sure what it is called.) I have owned this system for 1.5 years and this is the first time this has happend. I appreciate any advice on the matter. Thank you.

This is a well known problem for the Xbox 360. The lens is more then likely dirty. If experienced enough to take the 360 apart and clean lens, do so. If not buy a dvd player cleaner disk, it will work the same way.

That happend to me.... this may sound crude... but what i did was hit it a few times (when it was turned off) on the top left side (not the front).... try that a few times and it might work (fixed mine)

Guitar Hero III: Wireless Les Paul - screwy star power

This usually occurs when you are not holding the guitar level (The handle is upwards). If you wish to only have the star power activate when you initiate it, you should make sure the guitar is level while you are playing so you can tilt it to activate the star power. Alternatively, you can press the back button to active the star power (if you are holding the guitar properly, you can activate it by pressing down on the guitar with your wrist).

XBOX Guitar Hero World Tour- Disc Unrecognizable

I know exactly what your problem is. I am huge nascar freak so you know i gotta have the games. Well it just so happens that i was playing on xbox live on my first month and have been hearing a lot of people saying how their console says the same thing well i looke for the answer. It turns out that after lots of playing for long periods of constant play time(3-8+)hrs. without freezing and getting any break at a time. Can sometimes put a ring some times invisible around the disc almost always permanently damaging the disc.

No data for guitar hero III

I'm using the slim... maybe it is the type of memory card but guitar hero is the only game I've had a problem with. I just restarted the game and then beat it over again. After it said that there wasn't any data and I chose to make a new one, it said that there was data but it was corrupt. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but I haven't had any trouble since I started over the other one.

Can't load guitar hero III

This happened with my old 360 and GoW. Microsoft insisted it was the disc, but it wasn't. I ended up purposely giving it the 3 Red Rings so I could send the 360 of for repair. It worked fine when I received the console back from repair.
