use your QuickStart Guide - available on RCA website if you lost it - or call RCA - plug in your mp3 player and load the CD - if the CD won't load, you may have a non-compatible version of Windows - go to RCA's website if you have Vista, because they have updated software/revised instructions

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
Make sure the songs are in the correct format. Make sure the songs are not AAC, WAV, streaming, or some other non-supported format
Mp3 players are more complicated than ever. This player may only accept DRM-encrypted WMA files. I would first check the songs that you have downloaded to make sure they did not have "temporary" licenses with a fixed end date. You can do this by right clicking on an individual song, clicking on properties, and selecting the "license," "digital rights mgmt" or "media usage rights" tab - the wording varies by configuration. It will give you info on the license. If the song says that it has no license, it will not work with this player. One remedy is to use mp3 converter software to convert all of those wma files to Mp3's - I don't know of any free ones, but you can certainly look for free Mp3 Converters. Another remedy on unlicensed songs is to hit the "acquire license" link in the license tab, if one exists.

How do I download a user manual

just enter the name of the device for which you need the manual, on googleand it should find the location of it. Simply go to the website you have been directed to and look for the download button. I t is an easy enough process.
Most user manuals are in PDF file format so you will need a PDF reader to access it/them. A good reader app is ADOBE READER which can be had from ADOBE.COM Simply download and install this and you should be able to access the manual.
The downloading of files is very straightforward, dialogue boxes will take you through the procedure.
Good Luck

Hi nicholasharp...

You did not say which model you had so I copied what I could find in manuals for Technika MP3 Players. I am sure you will find the user manual to explain when your MP3 player is fully charged.
I will also include the generic way to hook up and download songs to your MP3 player.
Go to the webpages below and download your User Manual and Quick Guide.

Downloading Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

User manuals and quick start guides can be found on philips website here....;jsessionid=6A7D89E9606F8CA5191827FD14E24A84.app101-drp1?t=support
It looks like you have to install the program that phillips makes for this which you can there as well, but it should have come with a CD.
Most MP3 players should also be able to sync with windows media player. Basically you need to rip the cds into the computer and then sync it to your device. Here is a link to a site that gives an easy walk through on ripping music to windows media player....
If this was a help please give me 4 thumbs up as I am trying to build up my rep on this site!

Looking for a users manual for my Zune 30. Have been navigating by trail and error and am stuck. where can I download a free manual and users guide?

Manual that came with the device can be found here.
They don't really have a full user guide/ etc. You can do some googling to look for "how to use a zune" and there are many sites that would walk you through the basics. Here is one example....

Iforgot my ipod password and user name and itunes

there are two options by which you can unblock the ipod. Follow any of the procedures tomorrow.
Unlock with the Primary Computer
  1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
  2. Open itunes and sync the iPod as normal.
  3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Unlock by Restoring
  1. Restore the iPod to factory settings if you do not have access to your primary computer. This erases all of the data you have stored on the iPod.
  2. Plug your iPod into the new computer you want to be the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.
  3. Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod. Remove it following normal procedures.

Is this your first time using the iPod since buying this from ebay? There are two ways on how you can do this:
1. By connecting it to the primary computer and syncing it with iTunes. Please take note that this needs to be the primary computer you have connected it with.
2. If it is not, then your final resort would be to do a factory reset of the iPod. This will delete all files, music etc on your iPod and will restore it to factory default. You need to use the iPod updater to reset it.
Good luck.
