Does this unit have the heating element in it as mine just blows cold.

THERE is heat dissipation on the backside or the refridgerator sometimes by a vin or just simply heat up , but no heating

heat is removed from products which are placed in the refrigerator

A compressor with (r22) or 407(a/ c ) or whatever in a circuit that becomes cold as soon as the compressor worked it must be working freezing if not or only a part is freezing it can be a solenoid valve. or a start relais on the compressor thats not in function.

Fridge &freezer not getting cold

Whirlpool refrigerators as well as the other brands that fall under the corporation most like at some point within the first five years will stop cooling and freezing, and the sound you here will be either a humming follow by a click or in some cases just the click alone. This is caused by the start device on the compressor. The relay part of it has basically burnt, fell apart inside, however you want to describe and is not passing the power to the compressor to come on. To access this pull the refridgerator out from the wall, and first and foremost unplug it. Once that is done remove the lower panel, sometimes cardboard sometimes metal which is held up by a few quarter inch screws. Place to the side and located the compressor. The box on the side is start device, it will have 2 or 3 wires going to it, most of the time red and white respectively. Also they maybe a black box thats connected to the start device and sits horizontallty. Thats the capacitor. Keep that if your going to do the repair yourself. I recommend doing it because its very easy and will save you alot of money. You can buy this part at or at just be sure to have your make and model number handy.

Refridgerator problems... condensation freezing on copper tubing. fan running constantly. Not cold in refridgerator.

freezing on the extenal copper tube by compressor indicates a possible blockage in the system.. this may require a regass from a specialist... Thanks

GE regrigerator not cooling or freezing

first defrost it by turning it off for 1\2 to 1 full day,put towels on the floor to catch the water, when a refridgerator gets frosted up it cant circulate the cold air,and if its one with the freezer on top then the cold air cant blow down into the refridgerator, check inside the refridgerator at the top where the thermostat cover is there will be a vent hole,it could have ice built up so much that its totally blocking the air flow. This usually happens when hot food is put in the refridgerator and causes steam,or the refridgerator runs too much caused by bad door seals,or the cooling fins on the back or bottom underneath plugged with dust and the freon gets too hot causing condensation inside the freezer which causes it to frost up,a plugged drain hole will back up water and freeze, the fan in the freezer may have stopped working, which is about a $60.00 part, and finally a bad defrost element (about a $40.00 part)which is a glass tube inside the freezer with a coiled up wire inside it that heats up at certain times to defrost any ice build up,(which is the last thing to check)

Maytag Refridgerator and not cooling or freezing

sounds as if perhaps the overload replay has burnt up on the compressor, you can see it by removing the back cover, unplug unit and remove the starter from the side of compressor. if burnt up or melted youll need to replace it.. before you do i would call the manufacture with model and serial theyve experienced issue with some of these depending on model and serail they may cover repair

Freezer is not freezing and refridgerator is not cold enough

have the freon checked for leaks, also check to make sure the compressor is coming on. If it comes on and is warm, boost freon. If the unit is not coming on properly, check the capasitors and compressor
