I have the same problem

-Make sure all cords are plugged in tight
-try some different cords if you have some
-Try a different input on your TV and see if those flash too
-Try plugging in a different Video input Type (another DVD Player/Game System/VCR/Anything)... if it doesn't flash then you know it is the original item you have plugged in now....

Hopefully it is just the cord =)
