Yes, after the installation is complete, You do remove the disc. The software wil be permanently installed on your PC unless you were to remove it yourself. It's always good to keep the installation disc on hand though. (just in case)
Just eject the disk. To remove the software, once it is installed, is done in Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, look in the list of programs for the Web Camera, click on it and Remove. NOTE: You do NOT need to leave the disk in the drive once the program is installed, and the disk may be placed back inside its disk holder. Keep it safe, in case you need to reinstall at some point in time.

Last night I installed Skype 4.1 and Skype webcam features(both downloaded) but had to uninstall the web cam software due to incompatibility with google maps and other video features of websites. I am running Windows 7 and IE8 with a brand new computer. I still have Skype 4.1 installed with no problems. Any ideas?

when im installing my Microsoft Lifecam vx-3000, when it goes to the lifecam setup screen and i go to click next, it says my internet isnt working or the server is unavailable. my internet is working, so i know its not that. So what do they mean by the server is unavailable? What do i do to install it?!? HELP
