It frezees vegitable in vegitable compartment

a refrigerator when not defrosting will get too much ice in the freezer and work the compressor too hard resulting in a freezer that is too warm and if you dial up the thermostat to compensate will result in freezing your vegetables and fruits in the crisper      make sure the back wall of the freezer is not iced up   if it is then either the heater cable is broken, or a thermal cut off failed  or the defrost timer has failed
