it sounds like a fan rubbing when the doors are closed(very noisy).. open a door and its all quiet . I am handy can you help me fix this myself?

it sounds like you have a defrost problem and the ice has built up at the back and around the evaporator fan motor. you will need to unplug the fridge for 24 hours and let the ice melt and try to determine what the defrost problem is, the timer, heater or thermostat (dts).
