Check the carbon brushes, they maybe worn out and need replacing.

I have replaced the circuit board twice on my hayden 2400 and after working for 24 hours the circuit board then fails, with no signs of it tripping. Everything is wired in correctly the supplier is unsure...

Disconnect the wiring from the unit, and go back and plug in your hose.

Get a volt tester and test the voltage coming from the lines at the machine. It should read 0 volts. Check both AC and DC voltage.

Also, check the same setup if you have a security system. Arm the security system (or have someone do it for you) and test the voltage at the line again. Again it should read 0.

If both come up 0 volts, the security and the hose I mean, unplug the hose and try one more time again AC and DC volts.

The only other thing i could see it being is a problem with the motor, if the unit is 7-10 years or more, it may need a set of motor brushes for the motor.

Let me know how this goes.

I need a Hayden Superpack Deluxe owners manual so I can change the belt

Hi There,

Actually Hayden uses Panasonic to make all of their power nozzles. Replacing the belt on your Hayden is the identical process to replacing the belt on Panasonic canisters. Kenmore canisters also use Panasonic power nozzles, it's the same process with these.

There is also a power nozzle overload switch on the top of the power nozzle that will shut down if anything is vacuumed up that causes stress on the belt. Try pushing this reset switch before opening up the power nozzle to install a belt. It may be something as simple as a reset switch.

If this doesn't work, here's a link to a repair that I've posted on Fixya on how to replace the belt on a Kenmore canister power nozzle, the process will be identical to your Hayden power nozzle.

Hopefully this helped you. Please be so kind and rate the repair, or leave feedback for the fixya community.

Thank you,

Hayden product. how to disassemble the head to replace the belt.

Actually Hayden's power nozzle is manufacturered by Panasonic for Hayden. Panasonic is the same maker of Kenmore vacuums as well. I have written a detailed repair solution on how to replace the belt on a Kenmore Canister vacuum, and the repair on your power nozzle will be identical.

Here's the link:

The only difference could be that you may have a newer style power nozzle then this one, and the screws on the newer nozzles are actually on the bottom of the power nozzle rather then underneath of the headlights.

Hope this helped you,

Chris J.

Where can I find a part for my BV2000 in house vac? It is the smallest unit made by M S & S Systems in Dallas TX. The suction impeller is grinding in it's housing, so I need a motor/suction pump. I...

you will have to replace the whole motor as these motors where never made to be serviceable. if you take the motor to a local vacuum shop than can order you a new one. though i would recomend replacing the whole tank unit with a Nutone or Hayden they are far better systems.

Odd noise coming from central vacumn cleaner

The rattling noise, will likely increase when the head is flipped upside down. Generally means you have a stone caught in the belt or a blown or stripped tooth on the belt.
If you gently squeeze the outside edges of the light housing it will pop off to reveal two screws to remove the lid. Check for other screws at the neck of the power head. Once removed your belt and brush will be visible. Remove the brush roll with end caps and flip the belt inside out rolling it between your finger , look for cracks or a floppy or missing tooth. Replace if any sign of wear.
Inspect the dust caps on your brush. There is a washer under each, likely buried in lint. Do not lose as these are a spacers for each end of the brush. Clean shaft and lube with WD40. Spray caps with the same. vacuum loose grit and dust bunnies away from motor and reinstall, your red button must align with the lid when replacing

Hayden 6000+ wont run

Define hose works or doesn't, no suction, hose will not activate vac , etc.
Test the vac by shorting across the low voltage terminals where they enter the machine. If the vac works here your problem is in the internal wiring, at the valve or the hose to wall connection. If the vac will not run, you will need to check the motor for continuity across the motor leads.

Hi, I have a Hayden Supervac 3600 central vac system in a house I just purchased. The Amber light indicating that it needs regular maintenance is on. I have cleaned and serviced the motor, everything is fine and suction is well. How do I reset the service light? The reset button seems to do nothing. Thanks
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. I heard of this happening before and you need to refer to the owner’s manual and or to contact the factory or manufacturer of which I will provide to you @ the end of this question. There may be some type of rely switch or board that might need replacing but check with the factory. If you need further help please refer to a local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
