I have a 2000 Ranger 4X4, 4.0L with 5sp auto and I'm experiencing a "vibration"
between 40-65MPH. What's wierd about it is that Ford balanced all 4 wheels and
said the slight vibs I'm feeling are "normal" for a truck, etc. I can feel
them through the steering wheel and especially the gas pedal.. The driverside
mirror buzzes so much that all views off of it are blurry...so it's almost
useless mI only have 1600 miles on it and I love it except for the vibrations.
Also, I have owned Toyotas and still own a CJ-7 so I'm not unfamiliar with the
"feel" of a truck...just this one. Any advice or possible solutions?
Thanks,
Scott

smooth all the way through 85 or 90 mph. My advice is to take it to a
different Ford dealer, you don't have to get it serviced at the same dealer you
bought it from.

if you take your truck some place make sure they do not lift it the way they
lift the 98's or it will fuck up the body. I have a friend who is currently
having Big O Tires do major body work to his truck free of charge for the
damages they caused during oil changes etc. Apparently underneath the door
in 98 they had additional frame support for the cab which they removed in
the 99's. most shops lift from underneath this section. 99's they have to
lift from the axles.

Sounds like the typical con job of the big three dealers.
No. There should be no vibes. Have 'em check the driveline balance -
and keep at 'em until it is fixed to your satisfaction!

mud tires on it! I would say somethings not right. Have them take you
for a drive in a new one on their lot and see if it vibrates just like
yours does.
