I installed MS Office 2007 professional; however, I have no icon on my laptop and I don't see MS Office 2007 when I look at all my programs

On your desktop, right click and choose New > Shortcut > Browse >
Computer > C: drive > Program Files > Microsoft Office > Office 12
Then choose the program you want for a shortcut (Word.exe, Excel.exe, etc). Click OK, click Next, Name it what you want and click Finish. It will now be on your desktop.
Do the same thing for the other programs you desire.
