I need to re-install my laptop speakers, and I put in the Application/Driver CD and tried to re-install them, but it said I didn't select anything to install, but I selected the only thing under audio, which i am guessing was the speakers.
You can make sure your audio driver is enabled. If it is then open the audio mixer and make sure the volume is up on wave and master out.
If you can't accesses this then you must unistall your audio drivers, restart your computer and re-install the drivers. Check for external volume controls as well as internal once you've properly installed the sound drivers. Check your device manager for yellow error messages to verify drivers are installed properly.

i have a compaq c700 laptop, sometimes it wont shut down or select a program, I have to switch it off at the wall, this usually occurs after about 8 hours of use. I am using Vista home premium, is this a software fault or hardware?
