My panasonic LCD TV's lamp light is flcikering.
my panasonic LCD TV's lamp light is flickering. The TV turns on, but automatically powers down within 2 minutes. Does this mean the lamp needs replacing?

- No...it has a lamp. You were right about that. The problem is that the lamp seems fine. I spoke to Panasonic customer service and they too thought it may be the lamp, but when I told them that the lamp seemed fine, they asked me to then show it to a repair shop.Best Solution

Sounds like the lamp. Turn the TV off, unplug the TV from wall, wait for half hour. Remove the lamp and see, if it is fogy looking, this will give you an idea if the lamp is going bad.

- My mistake, this TV is a CRT type and does not have a lamp. It has 3 tubes Red, Green and Blue. I should have known that just by reading the model#.. Later on, I will look at the diagrams and will express my opinion.N Sabre
