Video appears distorted--halo like

having problem with my new tv. seemed to be better a few days ago, now it appears there is a halo or what you may call noise in the background, upclose shots look great and clear but when they zoom out the pic appears fuzzy
I have the same problem

check your sharpness setting, it should be very low and even in the negatives possibly on a plasma. I was told the sharpness option was for crt tube tv's anyway
