I'm trying to print and the error message says "The following tank is not installed Color Ink Tank. Install the ink tank properly and close the printers cover. If you do not want to install the ink tank, click Cancel.
I've done this a couple of times and even tried a new ink tank. I printed a couple of months ago with no problem.

- I promise I'm not trying to be dense, but what is a ticker?
Printer messages can be very confusing at times. Based on what's written here, I understand it to mean that you have the option of printng without the color ink tank needing to be installed, and clicking 'Cancel' allows you to do so. Is this correct?
Is this message appearing because the ink tank is missing, or because the printer cover is open? Or both. Is anything preventing the printer cover from closing properly? Have you tried performing a Self-test/Nozzle Check?
Here is some important information. Check that none of these exist, or have taken place:
When a tank is replaced, the ink counter must be reset.
Use an ink tank within six months of its first use.
Once an ink tank has been used, do not remove it from the printer and leave it out. This will cause the ink tank to dry and the printer may not function properly if it is reinstalled.
Color ink consumption may occur even when black-and-white or grayscale printing is specified.
Color ink is consumed in the head cleaning and deep cleaning, which are necessary to maintain the printer's capabilities.
When a tank is empty, replace it immediately. Printing with no ink in the ink tank may cause problems and, the Low Ink Warning dialog which tells the exchange time of an ink tank cannot be indicated properly.
Hope this helps.

Make sure that all tickers are off from the tank and clean the housing good and run self clean first and reset the printer

- sorry sticker on the tank usually they have plastic cover very small you can not see,, but the main thing is that you have the housing clean good use a cotton pad and some cleaning to clean the inside especially the contacts and do same on the tank, then run the selfcleaning that should work and let me know sorry again

I think I have to replace my ip90 printhead. The colors print fine but no black ink. I'v had it almost three years and I LOVE it, so want to try and fix it. I can order a new print head, but want to find out how hard it is to replace...anyone know? ...and is it just one printhead for black and color or do I order separate heads? THANKS for your help.
