Question about Microsoft Works 8.0 for PC

This is where I get stuck in trying to make Labels in Microsoft Works

When I do the mail mege in MS works, instead of getting 30 labels on the merged document, I only get one label. If I copy all the fields and create 30, it gives me 30 labels of #1 label instead of #1-#30 individual labels. This is where I am getting stuck

Can you help?

Re: This is where I get stuck in trying to make Labels in...

Create a mail merge label with the Address Book
On the File menu, click New.
In the Works Task Launcher, click Templates.
In the Letters and Labels category, click Mailing labels.
Click Use this style.
In the Labels dialog box, click Mailing labels.
Click OK.
The Label Settings dialog box appears.
Under Printer Information, click the option for the printer you are using.
Under Label Information, select the label product and style.

If you're seeing 30 of the same label, try adding <<Next Record>> to the beginning of each label (including the < > characters as shown). If you need more help please simply reply to this by posting comments, and I'll be notifited right much faster than happening across a request for help by chance; the system will send me an e-mail to make me aware of your comments.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

Create labels on Word 7 with Avery 8250 labels

I am assuming that you want to do a mail merge from a list.

If you list is in Excel, you should be able to click mailings in Word. It will take you through the steps to create your set of labels. [It will help with other places for your lists besides Excel, too.

Whenever i try to open a e-mail document it is using MS Works to open. How do i change this to use MS Word instead?

Since you did not specify, I am assuming you are using Outlook. Follow the procedure below:

In Outlook, click on Tools, Options, and click select the Mail Format tab. Check the box "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages". Click Apply and OK.

I can't print on the 5354 labels from microsoft word

Labels Tab, Options.

Now not sure what make your label is, so you will need to locate it from the list. If that isn't possible.

Goto Details - and enter the dimensions of your label and save for future use.

Lables do not work

Dear Carol this sounds like a page setup problem more than MS word version problem. You might like to re adjust the page size, dimensions and text to rectify this problem. You can also try emulate same dimensions from your older verion of MS word into new one. There are alot of things that are not compatible with new MS word like file extension .docx cannot be opened in previous versions.

You can also use image editing softwares like photoshop and corel draw for making labels, way better than MS word.

If this was helpful kindly press solved.
