Denon AV Surround Receiver, AVR-1601/681. I heard a loud pop from the speakers as if you slapped a live microphone with your hand. After that, the unit turned off. When I press "On" on the remote, the screen on the front of the unit displays modes of choices("DVD", "TV", "Tape") just like normal when I start it up and then it shuts off just like pressing the off button on the remote. Is it worth reparing the unit? Can it be repaired? What's the likely component that failed? Thank you

Had a lightning strike. Despite a surge protector it must have taken damage. It'll turn on for 2 seconds then turn itself off. Is it just the fuse or has something else gotten fried?

I have a Denon AVR-1908, hooked up to newer Kliptsch 7.1 surround sound speakers. While playing a variety of movies (Blu-Ray and non Blu-Ray) my speakers periodically are making a popping/static noise. The noise is to the point in which I'm afraid to turn up the volume up to truly experience to "full effect". What could be causing the "popping" noise?

I have a Pioneer SX-1300 receiver (made about 1990) that does not work. The internal fuse is blown - 3.15A, 125V. I cannot find another one with the same rating but used a 3A, 250V. When I replace the fuse and turn it on, the fuse blows immediately again. The problem started when my son had the speaker wires disconnected from the speaker and they crossed. Other than that, I don't know what happened to it.
