Question about Televison & Video
I have a 50" Phillips projection tv that is 3 years old and it suddenly wont turn on at all. I did check the fuse and that was ok. what could the problem be, i am going crazy watching a 13' screen. thanks!!
First off I usually check The horizontal output and the Low voltage regulators for shorts or open conditions.Followed by checking capacitors ,resistors and diodes in the power supply. Do you have a service manual for your set? That will give you the various test points and what the voltages should be to help nail your problem down. You'll need to be cautious around the capacitors as you can get shocked even with the power disconnected. If you dont have a manual you can probaly get one at this link. Hope this helps.
