Depending on your operating system. You need to run a complete checkdisk. chkdsk /f from a command prompt. I would also flush your master boot records with the appropriate OS cd. Lastly I'd run a program like hard drive regenerator to deterimine if there are repairable areas of the drive itself. Otherwise you may need a new hard drive or a clean install of the OS
next time your computer starts go to a command prompt and type chkdsk/f it will ask you if you want to run chkdsk next time your computer starts ..say yes..and then restart the /f command repairs damaged sectors..that might help..

I bought an extended service protection plan on a flat screen TV for my son to take to college (bought it 5/9/09). We pluged it up (7/22/09) to see how it work before he moved 6 hours aways. It worked ok for about 2 weeks. He tried to cut it on and it would not work. I called and reported it. I payed for the shipping to the company. Miles (from their company) signed for it on August 13. They told me it would only take 7 to 10 working days and it would be shipped out. Here we are 20 days later and it still hasn't been fixed. When I email them they say they take them in order. How many can they have broken? How many people working? How would they feel if the shoes were on the other feet?
