Make sure the battery is good. Try programming it this way just to make sure. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over to your keypad and key in your four digit code and press enter.
FYI the number you give is the part number for the logic board. The model number is on the opposite end of the motor unit.

Recently purchased a Craftsman 53920 door opener from a garage sale kwowing that something was likely wrong but took a chance for the low price. When I wire it up on the bench the sensor lights do not illuminate. I have verified correct wiring. The #2 and #3 wire lugs only have 0.7V DC, while #1 and #2 have 17 V DC. The sensor lights illuminate when plugged across #1 & 2, so I think they are OK. Other symptoms are: the light on the main system blinks twice; the unit cycles only when the push button is depressed, then reverses when let off. Do I have a bad board? Any other advice?

We have a Wayne Dalton opener. One of our remotes was stolen and we need to disable. We also have an identical remote still on hand. How do we disable the stolen remote and keep the one we have active?
