Question about Stoves 800DFDOm Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Stoves newhome I have a stoves newhome 800DF. The problem is when using the electric fan oven, I seem to be getting a sticky brown residue on my kitchen tiles where the back of the oven is situated. We have recently wondered when removing the oven to replace floor tiles if we could vent this outside somehow?

Re: stoves newhome

The residue is the grease being exhuasted from the oven.i wouldnt think you could vent it out unless you have an overhead hood.if its really bothersome look at a home depot/lowes for a heat/fire resistant filter and install it on the oven somehow.

Newhome 1000dfdl main fan oven appears to stay at the same temperture what ever the setting

whilst the fan is running the heating element which is usually in parallel with it should heat.. This usually means a faulty element whilst the temperature light remains on.
but if the temperture light is off then its likely to be a faulty thermostat

Top oven thermostat Stoves 800DF - fitting?

Hi, we have had one of these ovens for 8 years (it was in the house we moved into). We had a new control fitted for the top oven (it took the repair company three tries to get the right part) and the problem didn't go away. To be honest, we can't stand this oven but are waiting until we replace the entire kitchen to replace it. The bottom oven is fine. The top oven is fierce and burns food all the time. Overall it's a ridiculous oven - I'd much prefer a sensibly-sized one that actually worked well! Rant over.
