I have a PC with IP Address 192.168.2.10 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 92.168.2.1 SpeedStream 5242-Series DSL MODEM. It appears to have IP Adress 70.54.9.146 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255 DNS Server Address 67.69.235.1 Modem IP Adress 192.168.2.1 I also have a D-Link Wireless Router WBR-1310 I thought the D-Link router would be acting as my DHCP server with a default address of 192.168.0.1, giving my PC an IP adress of 192.168.0.2 or some such. However, it looks as though the Speed Stream modem is acting as the DHCP Server? When I ping 192.168.0.1 I get no response. I can't see the D-Link router at its default IP address. If I cannot access it I cannot get into the configuration utility to apply security measures (I want to enable just the mac addresses of our PCs so no one else can get onto the network.) Do you have any ideas? thank you, Bruce
