Re: maytag dryer no hot air

Check power supply and make sure you have correct power. It will run with only 110 volts but wont heat. If good check heating element, thermal fuse.

My maytag neptune dryer doesn't blow any hot air

on top of the heating element on the left side there is a white 2connector part, that is the heater thermal fuse. disconnect the dryer power cord and one wire of the thermal fuse and use a meter to find out if you have continuity to it. if not replace it. also check for burn wires at heating element. also test heating element by disconnecting one wire and using an ohm meter test it at 2 therminals. it shoul measure 10-12 ohms.

Will not run

Call your local appliance repair shop. You probably just have a bad switch. They can usually tell you right over the phone. Might even be something you can fix yourself without paying for a service call. Just the purchase of the switch. Good luck!

Are you sure that is the model number? I can`t find that model number anywhere. Please check the tag on the machine. This tag should also have the serial number on it.

I believe the belt on my maytag electric dryer model LDE412 is going out. How to I get to the belt to remove it for replacement? Through the front of the dryer or the back?

Remove the front panel(s). and you will be able to remove the top panel, which will give you access to the top of the drum and be able to replace the belt. There should be a small pulley at the bottom of the dryer where the belt attaches to, as well as around the entire drum.

Replacing maytag dryer belt

looking at the back of the motor where the belt pulley is you would grasp belt coming down from the left side of drum then come across the top of belt pulley that is on motor shaft going clockwise around that pulley then continue back to your left and over the top of belt tension pulley going counterclockwise around that pulley this is when you will have to raise pulley against spring pressure to get belt on then release belt tension pulley make sure that belt is still in belt groove on the drum hope this helps ed
