our wolf pop-up cooktop does not go up and down now. If it retreats to the down mode, we have to get something to pull it up, then we have to block the sides (we are using corks, wedged in sides), and it will run. The vent works only if it is up. If we remove the corks, it drops down to hidden mode, and will not come back up. So, we repeat the process. We have had the top for four years...and had it installed by a privat contractor.
