My macbook gets hot and so I made a little prop for it to allow air to get to its base. A 1" foam block (like from computer packaging) along the back edge and a 1/2" one along the front would do fine. Glue them to a piece of cardboard on the bottom side and this can be a good stand with and improved angle for typing.
