I have a Kenmore, 70 series, Electric dryer, the dryer runs-but no heat, Ive cleaned out all lint vents & dryer exhaust hose of all lint (there was a clog of lint there), I have a ohms/volt meter i just purchased, stupid question...do i test the acual wires or the acual part leads on the meter ? and what do i set on the meter to get the reading that i need ?
Hello, firstly you have it set on volts not OHMS. You need to test the actual part. However I can tell you that from what you are discribing and personal experiance it sound like your heating element is gone. Please if you have never done this before be carefull, electricity is dangerous and doent discriminate as to whot it zaps. I hope thi is helpful.
