Satellite does not come on .....Sometimes???

I have XM satellite. Sometimes when I start my truck I get no XM radio, but I still get am/fm radio. If I restart the truck it would come back on. Now my pre set channels will not change when I select different stations on satellite. I tried rest button no go on that. Is this unit fried?

Recently had a Alpine IVA-W205 unit professionally installed. XM worked fine then, poof ! XM doesn't show up anymore as a source option. Retailer told me they have experienced mutliple problems regarding Alpine's newer head units and XM/Sirius connectivity. They were told by Alpine that it is a "firmware/software" issue. No software update known of.
