I hear sound but there is no picture. When I play a dvd i can hear the dvd but still a black screen. I also cannot see the video and channel displays. Please help.. sony wega

I have the same problem. We had a TV repair person check it out. Initially he thought it was an easy fix with a small part then determined it was the main board that needed to be replaces. Contacted Samsung and apparently they do not make the main board any longer. Wahhhhhh!!!

I am having the same problem tv is a year old the picture started getting darker and darker now there just isnt one. If you figure it out let me know please.

First we had the thin line, which was resolved by bouncing on the floor. But now all we have is sound without the picture

My 32" Tv comes on and shows a really nice picture for about 15 minutes and then goes out, but there is still sound. Sounds like the channels are changing also. I have had the TV about 10 months to a year. (1 Yr) What is the problem and how is it going to be taken care of. What do I do? It is a 32" RCA XBox Model 32V550T. My problem is within the same problem, however, very random in times.
Usually goes black after a couple hours watching tv, especially on Football days. After about 5 or 10 minutes the picture comes back on. Not sure if it is a sign of old age, or excessive use.

Same prob. I get sound but no picture. Bought new cable and connector to see if it corrected it, but no difference.

When I turn the TV on, I have sound but no picture. A very thin horizontal line appears across the middle of the screen. I have unplugged and replugged with no results.

i have a mitsubishi tv and it was fine one day but then the next i turned it on and no picture but the sound works fine. when i turn it off there is a green line down the screen.

I turned it on this morning and got sound and a click from inside TV. Then mo picture and screen went black. still black. Unplugged it and that didnt help.sound is fine but no vi9deo at all.

Picture reduced to a thin horizontal line across the TV. Hitting the side brought the full picture back a couple of times but not any more.

Same issue with sony bravia 40" - Black screen but no sound.
The menu options are not available (displayed) but the remote works fine.
Tried to guess the menu options for reseting to factory settings with no success.
Also tried mulitple input methods from HDMI, DVI, Analog, digital and also scart with the same result - zip!
Anyone have any idea?

HAVE DEC, 1995 SONY TRINITRON XBR WHEN YOU FIRST TURN IT ON THE PICTURE TAKES 10 TO 15MIN BEFORE IT COMES ON

tv has sound no picture for 10 to 15min after you turn it on does the same when you change the channels

I've lost the picture on my tv. I have sound, though. I smelled a burning smell from the back of the tv, also. I spoke on the phone with a repair place and the guy didn't think it was the picture tube. he wants me to bring it in to look at. Any ideas?

Panasonic CT-20G11 is about 10 years old. Still a great TV but now the picture is gone (black Screen) only has sound. Please inform me of what the problem may be and price so I can fix or trash it. Thanks

Same thing. Weird part is that it seems that some frequencies seem to trigger it. For example, I watched a movie that had a scene with lots of lightning. Every time the lightning struck, the tube went out (but sound kept going). I would play back the movie and the screen would go off at exactly the same place.

Turned the set on, heard loud snap sound.Now i got sound no picture, Just black sceen w thin green horozontal line all the way across the center of screen. Please help Thanks.........
