Installing the ALI integrated drivers (to get my DV camera working properly) disabled my advanced power settings. I am missing the tab hibernate at power properties.
Using an XP333-R
anybody have the same problem and possibly found a solution? Bmagic35

Okay, the solution is to uninstall the ALI IDE drivers. You will get back the primary and secondary IDE drivers instead of the two SCSI RAID controllers, which came with the new integrated drivers. But you also get the hibernate option back. And HDTach doesn't show any noticible difference in performance.

I also installed the new integrated1.91 drivers. I've have very similar problems but I still have the two SCSI/RAID Host Controller entries (using IRQ 14 and 15) but no primary and secondary IDE drivers entries. Under IDE ATA/ATAPI controller I have listed 'ALi Ultra IDE Controller' and I got new entries under the 'DVD/cd-rom drives'.
My Musicmatch software stopped working (error (29) buffer too large, message). They said others have reported the same problem. They say it's may be the controller for the DVD/cd-rom drivers that may be the problem. More on that when I hear back from them.

Registry hack from ALi's UltraIDE driver v4.008 ReadMe.txt:
In Win2000/XP, Standby and Hibernation can be enabled by following 3 steps.
(1) Run "regedit.exe" (2) Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/alihdd/Parameters/PnpInterface/5 Highlite "5" in right-side Data window & click Edit/Rename to change Name from "5" to "1". (3) "Restart" system to take effect.
Anyway, it will not solve the "buffer too large" error (I get it with Nero 7)... ;-(

Trash the 1.09 ALI integrated driver set and re install the 1.07 set. I ran into this problem many months ago and have posted the problem at the AMDMB.com/Iwill forum as well as on the Iwill BBS. Sorry I forgot to post it here. It hasn't been that big an issue as the only way to find the 1.09 set is to go directly to ALI's web site. If you need the 1.091 AGP drivers, you can download them seperately at the ALI website.
