A load buzzing sound comes out of the speakers. (Harmon/kardon). The transformer is very hot. Unplugged transformer. Unable to purchase a new transfor from E-Tech. They sent me the wrong part number. Plug on transformer does not fit into speakers. Tried splicing old plug on the new transformer. Now nothing works. Maybe I should buy ne speakers.' Jim

Either the Speakers are plugged onto the wrong port or you may have a bad Speakers amplifier. Disconnect the Speakers from the computer, if the noise is still there replace the speakers they're not so expensive.
If the transformer of the Speaker's amplifier gets too hot!! it means there's a short somewhere.

Harmon kardon hk3270 shuts off after only being on about 10 sec

Disconnect speakers and wires. Bad wiring or defective speakers may be loading the amp down and causing the protection circuits inside to disconnect (no sound). If the HK is heating up (beyond what you perceive as normal) with no wires or speakers connected then you have a problem requiring expert repair.

Getting buzzing sound from speaker but can here sound from them.

You could have an earth loop which causes a hum/buzzing sound.
Is your computer and powered speakers plugged into different mains?
Connecting amplifiers and speakers to different power sockets will create earth loop problems
This can be fixed by using a single power board connected to a single mains power socket, then connecting all the computer components and powered speakers into this one power board.

Need a replacement power cord for harmon kardon sound sticks II

its not that expensive for a power cord. they are running on 12v so you go and buy a 12v power supply with a jack that fits the speakers or you can just find a power supply at home if you have one that is 12v
