Incorrect format, please reformat the player

Common problem.

reformatting doesn't change anything.

One of the drives is the player's memory itself and the other is probably an SD card. That's how mine works.

You have to reformat the flash drive. Right click on the drive properties and click reformat. It will erase everything on it. But fixes most problems with flash drives.

The best option is, look around for external cd-rom with usb connection, and reformat the laptop. You need to go into the bios and change the boot order to make your usb cd-rom to first in the boot list. Once the usb cd-rom is plugged into used port, with operation system cd in it, on your laptop..press F2..go into the bios, to the boot order make your usb cd-rom on top boot list,,then save changes to exit the bios. Once again the system reboots..with message PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD ROM.. so just simple steps to follow..its not going to be expensive..good luck

When connect my pen drive ( kingstone 8GB G2) it can connect.....it showed on my task bar........and when i open drive of it in my computer it say "please insert a disk into drive H: "...

the computer may have recognized the device as a card reader instead of a thumb drive, try inserting it into a different usb port. And if that doesn't work ,back up the files on the drive and try reformatting the drive.

Hi there my name is Fariz and I would like to reformat but at startup the mouse and keyboard will not work. I have tried all methods but no success. If the 2 cannot work then I cannot access the system....

Hello azreinfariz, I have a couple recommendations for fixing this problem which are two of the more common issues. The first idea is if you are using both a USB Mouse/Keyboard, consider trying to find a PS2 (The classic/old purple or green circular connections) and hooking that up instead. You could buy a new one, but this isn't a 100% guaranteed fix so if at all possible I'd try and borrow one from a friend who may have old computer parts lying around. They however aren't very expensive and you would only need the Keyboard to complete a reformat. The second idea works for most people but some people may not feel comfortable doing it. It involves opening up the computer. 1) Turn off computer 2) Unplug it 3) Open it up 4)Make sure you ground yourself before touching anything inside it 5) Locate a watch battery thing on the motherboard 6) Pop it out, may need a flat head screwdriver for this, but don't be too forceful 7) If there's a power button on the motherboard, hold it for a few seconds 8) Recommend waiting approximately 5 minutes 9)Put the battery back in where you got it 10) plug the computer back in 11) Power it back up. This is a common fix for a fair amount of people who run into this same issue. I hope that this has helped you and wish you the best of luck in reformatting azreinfariz!

Installing Ubuntu on Compaq Armada E500.

NO all system is low spec. low memory, Hd, cpu,and so on, you might upgrade memory to above 256M to run Winxp and use the orignal driver cds, for driver req. as win98 or NT driver, 1st try upgrade memory, and test.

SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB USB plugged it, light on, but shows an empty file in windows with capacity of 0bytes Also shows a CD drive (the one that U3 runs) which says nothing is in disk drive.

It is likely an issue with the filesystem. The FAT filesystem gets easily corrupted. If that's the case, reformatting it with FAT32 should help. But remember - reformatting erases all the data, so don't do it if you have anything important on the drive!

Did you reformat as NTFS instead of the default FAT32? FAT32 can only transfer files up to 4.0Gb in size. If you reformat as NTFS, you can move larger files.
