My Hp officejet 5610v Jams (Ink carriage) while

My Hp officejet 5610v Jams (Ink carriage) while printing can you help?
I previously encountered a paper jam and opened the back cover and removed the clump of paper and closed it back up, after that I can't print anything. I notice these two curved plastic tabs rotating up and down as if they are searching or attempting to detect paper then they stop and the ink carriage goes back to its defualt location. When I initiate a print job and the print proccess starts those two little curved tabs begin rotating up and down until the ink carriage jams into those probing plastic tabs, and thats all to it. Please help
