Sony PSP Network Connection Problem

- I bought a PSP for my son, model 3001. I also have U-Verse from AT&T. Step 1. Have AT&T change encryption on the 2Wire modem from WPA to WEP. Step 2. Before you enter the 10 digit WEP key, make sure you hit the "select" button on the PSP to change the keypad from Alpanumeric to just digits. For some reason, entering digits from the alphanumeric pad did not work. Step 3. Enter the 10 digits and then continue with the setup and test the connection. This worked for me. Worse case, disable encryption, so you can at least update the PSP SW. Good luck!
