EATING TAPE! Help!

posted by Hillywood on Jan 05, 2008

I recently have had a problem with my camera eating tape!  The first time this happened, as I placed the tape inside, it sounded like it was eating my tape.  I ejected it and pulled the tape out to find the camera did not eat the tape to my relief.
After shooting some raw footage and capturing, I rewound the tape and found that as I ejected it, the tape had been eaten!
Now, I recently placed a new tape in and once again, it sounded like it was eating my tape.  A warning sign began to blink, "R-Reel is Locked"....something like that...  Then when I ejected the tape, I could see that some of the film had been twisted and contorted.
Please help me!  I have something to shoot tomorrow and I'm panicing!
I really appreciate any help I can get!
Thanks!
