Re: no sound is coming
Assuming you're using windows 2000 or windows XP (not Vista), you can find the drivers for your laptop here. More specifically, the audio driver can be found here and the display driver can be found here.
Try going onto the manufacture website and go to support and download drivers. Look up your model number or do a search, and they should have it on the website, or if you have the restore disc, you can pop it in while you on (not while booting up) and browse the disc or if it autoplay, then click install drivers. Well I have toshiba and Im able to do both but you just need to do one.

You need to install the video driver. Go to the following page, and at the bottom the last choice for drivers is video. Open that tab and it will list the possible video cards for your laptop.
If you are not sure which one you have, right click on my computer, go to properties, and then click on the device manager tab. Then look at display adapter and it should say which video card you have.
Now just download the driver for your card and run it,
