The fuse is protecting the unit from over heating and catching on fire. Either the electrical circuitry is bad in the unit or in the outlet you are using. You can test the outlet with a voltmeter to test the outlet to see if it is good or try another similar type of appliance. Chances are, it is the microwave.

I used my microwave to boil water and over the course of the last 3 years the steam from the boiling water has caused the bottom to bubble and now it is completely rusted out. It still heats and defrosts foods well but it doesn't rotate the plate because of the uneven surface on the bottom. What can I do to repair it?
