Problem for Acer Aspire 7520-5185 17.0" Laptop
The DVD/+ of My Acer just stopped working
My Acer just stopped reflecting the DVD/+ hardware. It looks like the drivers are uninstalled. It is no longer visible in my Computer's window. what can I do?
I mean you can access the hardware or removable where anywhere in the laptop.
When you insert a disk, the drive will run with an activating noise but not showing anywhere in the laptop atall nor doing any further thing. if I try to access it through my computer or the control panel, I will not see a sign of it in the computer section of my laptop.
The laptop only shows the hard drive C and the D drive which is the Acer Recovery without any other drive showing

Hello!
Maybe is you DVD drive dead, but try this,I think that only one screw take a DVD drive. Relase the screw, and just push DVD drive. Turn on laptop without DVD drive and turn off. Put you DVD drive inside laptop, and try again turn on.
If you still have a problem, dont lose you hope, I see that problem on many laptop, where is DVD drive OK.

Sounds like the data connection to the drive has been lost. The power connection is still present, though. i would try to remove the drive, and with a light try to look at the connectors on the inside of the computer and also at the back of the drive. If nothing is obviously wrong, blow the area out with air and plug it back in. If this doesn't fix it, start looking for a new DVD drive for the computer. Good luck!
