Question about Hampton Bay 24002 Ceiling Fan
The ceiling fan works fine, but the lights do not.
I had broken light bulb in the lighting can. After I removed the base and turned on the lights (I use the wall switch; not the pull cord), I heard a noise and tripped the fuse. After I reset the fuse, the lights do not work. The electrical connections in the lighting fixture seem OK. What is the most likely problem?
You may have shorted out the light kit. Did you remove the other bulbs and put in new ones? They may have all blown when you heard the noise. Try that first, and if it still doesn't work, you may have to buy a new light kit. They are not expensive, and you can buy one without the glass bulb holders or cans, whatever you have. Then you can still use yours after you install the new light kit. Good luck!
