Question about Onkyo TX-SR605 Receiver
My reciever has shut off and has a standby light flashing, when I turn power back on it powers up for a couple seconds and then shuts down with the standby light still blinking, I have tried to unplug and reset with no luck
Follow these procedures
*disconnect everything (including ur speaker wires)
*power on the unit and hit the volume up to MAXIMUM. (this should output power from the receiver ) take note that u need to max the volume w/o anything connected.
*if ur unit shuts off w/o anything connected after maxing the volume...the receiver has to go in for service, but if it doesnt then u have to isolate the issue.
*play something (the FM or AM) then connect one speaker at a time and max the volume on each speaker to know w/c speaker or w/c connection is causing the issue. (e.g. front speaker then max the volume, right speaker then max the volume and so on...)

You have to get it fixed. same thing happened to my onkyo reciever and they said it was a bad circuit. had to take it to an onkyo tech and have it replaced.
