Anyway, if you keep playing with a strange noise in the player, it won't take long before it stops complete, or till you destroyed all your DVD's When you don't see scratches on the silver side of the DVD's, you should check (or let a technician check) what can be wrong with the player.

Check its input selection. With wrong input selection, either picture or sound will come out.

I too have Sharp microwave that constantly beeps at approximately one minute intervals if the food you have been heating isn't removed. It is loud, persistent and extremely annoying. I've opened the machine to try and find the loud speaker but cannot find it (it could be built in to the circuitry?). Any help on this would be appreciated. It's a very unfortunate design flaw on what is otherwise a very good and easy to use microwave.

Check your power supply board for some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). A bad cap can sometimes produce a harmonic, causing issue's with the sound. Also look at the signal board (where all the inputs are), for bad caps. I have come across this on a lcd tv!! Samsung True True (``````````` (``````````` 0 95250 95250 is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.
