Yes, it's totally normal. There is a thermal switch in the fan circuit to keep the blower running until the oven has cooled down. This is normal on most electric ovens. Now't to worry about.

The fan on the oven seems to run or a very long time after the selected program is turned off

I would call a dealer of the make and ask them if that is normal, sounds like perhaps it could be .

My whirlpool RBD305PRS00 double oven wont heat up and is locked

The door and controls lock when the oven temp is very high or when on pyrolitic cooking if that is available on your oven. If the controls wont reset or the door wont open try turning the power off for about 30 minutes and then try again. reset the clock and hopefully the oven will return to normal..

On a Amana EvenAir convection Plus oven the convection blower comes on during the regular bake cycle.

There is a blower on the top of the oven, which turns on when the oven is hot enough. If the warm/hot air is coming out from top vent corners - this is the blower working. Even if you turn the oven off at that moment, the blower will still work until the oven cools down. This is normal.

Self-clean turns off after 5 minutes with F2 error message

Hi MaryB,

F2 error code means that the oven temperature is too hot. You will have to replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If failure repeats, replace ERC (electronic range control or clock). For replacement part you may contact Sears at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Kitchenaid Superba 27 built-in Microwave/Oven

Disconnect it from power outlet for 30 minutes to hard reset the owen. It may be a faulty control panel or the fan thermistore switch.
