try a lens cleaner disc or sumit pal as this is a main problem if your ps2 is in an area where dust collects EG floor or something it will get clogged up so clean the system with some wet wipes or thjose anti static tv screen cleaners and then if you can get a lens cleaner disc and this should solve your problem.
