Boot up your PSP. Scroll to the Settings menu. Scroll down to System Settings and press X. Scroll down to Restore Default Settings and press X. Go to Yes and press X to confirm.
DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR PSP WHILE THE SYSTEM IS BEING RESTORED OR IT WILL BECOME UNUSABLE.
This will remove any passwords, reset the time and date, reset the language, and clear any background picture you had up there.
