I have the same problem on my french white crock model SC-3544. I'll be replacing mine with a hardward store knob,too. Looks like a poor design!

I too have a broken knob on the corningware french white electrics crockpot. The inside knob is too strong for the plastic temp. knob.
The Model # SC0-200. I will check the hardware store and also hit
some yard/tag sales.

Setting knob on the Corningware SC-5044 broke. The break occurs at the inside corner of the knob where the shaft inserts. It appears they selected a plastic that is not up to the job. Researching replacements of a tougher material.
