Good morning. for some reason my projector

According to the manual listed below you can :
(1) Enter the OSD menu.
(2) To execute "Reset" function.
This resets all the user settings to default.

Press "Play" to change the "Administrator Password".
The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".

Download the manual from the Dell site and see what it is from there. But if the previous owner changed it then you're out of luck.

You really bought a phone that is locked. Perhaps even the owner does not know you have it.
Only the person with the Apple id, ending with .mac.com knows the password. If he is willing to give you the Apple ID and the password, this phone was setup with, you can unlock the phone. If not, you won't be able to do so.
I don't want to frighten you, but most likely you bought a stolen phone.
The security in that phone is so good, nobody, till now has broken this.

Unplug the power cord from projector
--> HOLD down (keep holding down) the right key on the keypad (top of the projector) and Insert the power cord back to the projector
--> The "Power" and "Ready" LED light should blink TWICE and unplug the cord from the projector (while still holding down the right key)

security HARDWARE tampering?! Nobody locks down a computer using hardware unless they have a damn good reason (software lockdowns are more common); its very expensive to purchase additional security hardware. If you don't know what you're doing, call IBM. They'll guide you through it. If it says hardware tampering, i can't help you because that may mean you have a non-standard setup.

Hi there! I'm assuming you're able to enter the password so that the unit comes up...Go into the menu selection called "Initial Settings". Choose the option called "Security Lock" and pick the "off" menu item. Exit out of the menu and power down the projector. Re-start the projector and it should have no password activation. If you need the user manual, let me know...Hope I assisted you successfully!--Rick

By default the DP 301P+ does not come with a password. If there is one installed (and you don't know what it is), you can reset the device to factory defaults from the Tools menu in the web configuration utility. Be aware that you will lose all settings in the print server when you do this.

If memory serves me correctly, there is an OSD button on the projector itself. Press that once. You may have turned off the OnScreen Display feature. If that fails to resolve the problem, please let me know and I'll look up your specific model.
